Strengthening Information Security at ABC

Patent work involves highly confidential information including pre-publication inventions, R&D plans and business strategy. ABC controls access on a need-to-know basis and reviews how documents are transmitted and retained. Technical controls alone do not complete security. We continue to improve training, account and device management, and information-transfer procedures with collaborators. At the consultation stage, we recommend sharing only what is appropriate before formal engagement and conflict checks. An inquiry alone does not create an attorney-client relationship.
